Feeding Therapy
We treat children ages 3 to 7 with feeding challenges that are not age-appropriate. These challenges may include food or drink refusal, food selectivity (based on type or texture), and difficult mealtime behaviors. At LB Feeding, we work together with families to identify the root causes of your child’s feeding difficulties and create a plan to provide them with the skills and strategies needed to expand their diet.
Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy is the treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs). We focus on strengthening and training the muscles of the face, mouth, and tongue to improve feeding skills and help your child eat a variety of foods. While formal myofunctional therapy is typically designed for children with a cognitive age of four and older, we assess the oral motor skills of every child and tailor our strategies to their individual needs and abilities.
Fine Motor/Handwriting
We provide support to children who are having difficulties with pre-writing and handwriting skills. At LB, we do not just work directly on handwriting; instead, we address all the skills required to write efficiently, including postural stability, bilateral coordination, crossing midline, visual perception/motor skills, and reflexes.
